Ricky James is a Boston-bred, NYC-based artist and songwriter whose sound is not bound by genre. 2019 saw the release of his debut EP, "she's a free spirit.", a handful of collaborations with MEMBA and andy polk, and his newest single, "Stable." Ricky's angsty and heart wrenching vocals, complimented with slapping 808 production and vulnerable lyrics, produces his unique and signature sound of nostalgic and adolescent energy. His songs are a clear indicator of the current shift in Punk and Hip Hop music, and while it is distinct for its melodies and cadences, it is never at the expense of a song's meaning or lyrical value.
