Dhruv Visvanath is a singer songwriter and producer and accomplished acoustic guitarist from New Delhi. Having lived in various parts of the world as a child, from London, Zambia, Mumbai and Hong Kong, following his fathers passing, Dhruv returned to India to continue his creative journey. Since then, Dhruv has released 3 albums, beginning with his debut, Orion, in 2015 under VLT records. His sophomore release, The Lost Cause, released in 2018 was successfully crowdfunded debuting at #2 on Apple Music Top 50 Albums at the time. His latest album, The Book of I, was released as singles during the pandemic filled period of 2020 and 2021. Amassing over a million streams and debuting at #10 on Apple Music’s Pop releases, this album served as Dhruv’s first foray into production. The release was supported by Dhruv getting inducted into Spotify’s Radar program all around the world, and supported internationally thanks to Apple Music. His unique style of playing the guitar allowed him to develop a relationship and an endorsement with the Dehradun Guitar Company, resulting in his own custom guitar he so lovingly calls, Willow. Dhruv’s musical exploits have allowed for his abilities to be proudly showcased in the Indian film industry, from Vishal Bharadwaj’s “Sonchirya”, to aiding A.R. Rahman on “Dil Bechara” and “Blinded By The Light”, to even having his big bollywood debut in Bejoy Nambiar’s “Taish”. In 2023, Dhruv appeared on Reese Witherspoon and Kacey Musgraves show “My Kind Of Country” where he was a finalist. Shortly thereafter, Dhruv’s impressive guitar work found its way on the seminal Coke Studio hit “Khalasi” earning over 100 million streams.
