Alidade is a soon to be Nashville-based singer/songwriter who makes soulful folk music rooted in fingerpicked electric guitar. Her lyrics weave vivid images with aching honesty, penned by NPR as “delicately annihilating.” With her deep love of storytelling, she has spent much of the past year building the fictional world of Death Valley Blues, a concept record about returning home and falling in love with a childhood friend. Alidade is frequently compared to artists such as Joni Mitchell, and draws inspiration largely from folk, blues, and soul.
