Emily Wryn is a Santa Barbara County native who has been writing and performing since the tender age of 13. Her early demos were played on Nic Harcourt’s Morning Becomes Eclectic, and in 2018 Emily's song “Quiet” was selected by Marissa Lorusso of NPR’s Tiny Desk Contest as one of her early favorites. She wrote: “Emily Wryn sings with a poignant weariness that evokes Sharon Van Etten or Angel Olsen. Her [song] “Quiet,” recognizes the power old wounds can hold over us, and the bravery it takes to move past them.”

Born and raised in the overheated environs of Phoenix, Arizona, Zubia has become a veritable institution in the state, helping lead a series of popular and successful combos. Notable among these groups were the Chimeras, a powerhouse Zubia formed along with his brother Lawrence, longtime friend Doug Hopkins - co-founder of Gin Blossoms - Scott Andrews and Mark Riggs. The Chimeras eventually morphed into the Pistoleros and with the name change also came a major label recording and EMI publishing contract. The group’s Hollywood Records debut “Hang On To Nothing” found the Zubias collaborating with a number of notable names, including Gary Louris & Marc Perlman (Jayhawks), Radney Foster (Foster & Lloyd) and Pat DiNizio (Smithereens). As a member of Pistoleros, Mark will be inducted into The Arizona Music & Entertainment Hall of Fame in 2018 MZ continues to write, record and perform solo, with the Pistoleros and Zubia Brothers - a life-long side project with Lawrence. His evolution as a vital American singer, songwriter and artist is ongoing. Mark currently splits his time between Scottsdale, AZ and Santa Barbara, CA.
