In 2015 Justine received a Downbeat for Best High School Jazz Vocal Performance, and another in 2018 for Large Jazz Vocal Ensemble, and was recognized by Young Arts as a Jazz vocal finalist in 2016. She has also worked with greats such as Becca Stevens and has sang backgrounds for Darmon Meader and Ben Folds. As a Senior at the Frost School of Music for Jazz Vocal Performance, Justine continues to hone her musical skills under Dr. Katherine Reid. Nicholas Petumenos was born and raised in Anchorage, Alaska. He began his formal study of music at the University of Alaska and completed a Bachelor’s degree at Berklee College of Music in 2000. In 2003, he was part of the Inuit Tribal Funk group Pamyua when Pamyua won record of the year for Native American music. Petumenos has been traveling and performing nationally and internationally with Pamyua since. He has studied guitar in Spain and Brazil. Petumenos considers versatility to be his main instrument, and he maintains a collection of instruments to rival Solomon's dowry. In 2015, he earned a Masters degree in music from the University of Miami and in 2018, completed a doctorate. He teaches guitar at Broward College and performs regularly with the Wynwood String Band.
