J.B. Boone was born and raised in El Paso, Texas, and graduated from Texas A&M University. He didn't start playing music until college, where he was part of a punk rock cover band called My Chemical Bromance. Earlier this year, he decided to pack up and move to LA in order to record an album, sleeping on his sister's couch for eight months while he worked with a producer on his six song EP 'Severe Adventures.' The EP released on October 4th, and already has over 100,000 streams, and J.B. has played venues across California and Texas. J.B. recently finished up a tour donating money to the victims of the El Paso shooting, and values the effect that his music can have on his community. This will be his fifth Sofar Sounds show, and he really values the organization and everything it has done for him.

After taking home the grand prize win at Buskerfest (one of SoCal's largest and longest-running battle-of-the-bands competitions) and being named “Best Folk Act” by the OC Weekly, the on-stage bandmates and off-stage girlfriends of Glitterfox made a bold decision: to sell 95% of their possessions, quit their jobs, give up their apartment, and begin touring the country full-time. Following their sold-out album release show at Fingerprints Music in June 2015, the pair left town in a 1992 Chevy G20 conversion van they’d purchased off of Craigslist just a few weeks earlier. Their debut album, "El Guapo," quickly reached the #1 spot on Amazon’s “Hot New Releases” list and would go on to be voted “Long Beach Album of the Year” on the Long Beach Post’s public opinion poll. The duo spent the next two years living in their van, touring the country full-time, and performing at every opportunity possible. During this time Glitterfox released the 5 song EP "Laminak" which featured the crowd favorite "Portland," and made big stage appearances at Joshua Tree Music Festival, Music Tastes Good (Long Beach), and the Long Beach Folk Revival Festival. In August 2018 Glitterfox re-located to Portland, OR and began working on their third album. "Fringe" was released on September 22, 2019 at the couples' open-to-the-public, music festival-style wedding reception "Glitterfest." "Glitterfest" featured eleven different musical acts from Portland and the west coast, including Glitterfox, and was hailed by the press as the "mini festival of your dreams." The full-length album "Fringe" has been a long time coming for Glitterfox and they are excited to go all out for this next chapter of their lives.
