We\u2019ve entered the Vault a couple times over the years\u2014 <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sofarsounds.com\/blog\/articles\/from-the-vault-revisiting-vintage-sofars\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">once in 2022<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and again <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sofarsounds.com\/blog\/articles\/sofar-video-vault-april-2024\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">earlier last April<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This time around, we’re turning our attention to some big names you\u2019ve probably come across. Did you know these performers once graced the Sofar stage?<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Post Animal – When I Get Home | Sofar Chicago<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Famous for being the band that <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Stranger Things<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2019 Joe Keery once played guitar for, psych-rock band <a href=\"https:\/\/open.spotify.com\/artist\/4iaDWP59Z3e62DW7YWDbIE\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Post Animal<\/a> played Sofar Chicago in 2016.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Keery left the band in 2019 due to acting commitments, but he\u2019s since released solo material under the name Djo. Everyone was playing Farmville and Angry Birds and singing Justin Bieber\u2019s \u201cBaby\u201d. The trailer for <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Twilight: Eclipse <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">had just dropped. Oh, and that year Robert Pattinson would be named one of <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Time<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2019s most influential people in the world \u2013 but not before playing Sofar London.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The actor isn\u2019t necessarily known for his musical chops (although he did have two original songs in <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Twilight<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">), but he wowed the audience at this show with this song, tinged in a country drawl, called \u201cIt\u2019s All On You\u201d.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Robert Pattinson - It's All On You | Sofar London\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/pJJ3pBSLgVk?start=7&feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Manny Walters – My Own Fault | Sofar Cape Town<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Our fourth most watched video of all time, <a href=\"https:\/\/open.spotify.com\/artist\/0g13F5xSoh22Ih66mbYJDj?si=HiE-K0k6TfardPbQmd1YvQ\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Manny Walters<\/a>\u2019 2017 performance of his then-unreleased song \u201cMy Own Fault\u201d is one etched in Sofar history. Walters is a South African singer-songwriter with soul and R&B influences, who had the inaugural Sofar Cape Town crowd mesmerized with his rich voice and guitar tone.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cI wasn’t in such a hurry to release [it] anywhere else,\u201d Walters said in <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=moVdH1XLX64&t=9s\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">an interview he did with us last year<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, \u201cbecause to me this particular performance was in a specific capsule. At this show, they pulled out all the stops to deliver a high-energy performance of \u201cYou So Dumb\u201d \u2013 a poetic, funky song packed with humor and heart.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Tank And The Bangas - You So Dumb | Sofar Chicago\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/rVMbeigbH04?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mon Laferte – Amor Completo | Sofar Mexico City<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Chilean-Mexican singer-songwriter <a href=\"https:\/\/open.spotify.com\/artist\/4boI7bJtmB1L3b1cuL75Zr?si=9KbK8-DAQwit1i--kQrseQ\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mon Laferte<\/a> captured the crowd at this Sofar Mexico City performance in 2014. Laferte\u2019s music is known all over Central and South America, with nearly 11 million monthly listeners.
