See what Hamzaa has to say, and check out her <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=qJ7xoY2A3VI\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">recent Sofar performance with Costa Coffee<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Hamzaa&#8217;s influences:<\/p>\n<h4><b>Impulsive Creativity<\/b><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Hamzaa: Being in the moment has meant that I\u2019m way more edge, much more particular. I\u2019m much more impulsive to do things if I feel it in the moment. Sitting in it, while it\u2019s happening, it\u2019s tough. I find myself crying most days, or I find myself trying to not overanalyze everything. It\u2019s wild.<\/span><\/p>\n<div style=\"width: 1080px;\" class=\"wp-video\"><video class=\"wp-video-shortcode\" id=\"video-2659-1\" width=\"1080\" height=\"1080\" preload=\"metadata\" controls=\"controls\"><source type='video\/mp4' src='https:\/\/sofar-blog-images.s3.eu-west-2.amazonaws.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/The-Palette_Hamzaa_1.mp4'\/><a href=\"https:\/\/sofar-blog-images.s3.eu-west-2.amazonaws.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/The-Palette_Hamzaa_1.mp4\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Palette_Hamzaa_1<\/a><\/video><\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4><b>Unfiltered Performance<\/b><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I want everything to just feel raw. For example, even doing the Sofar Sounds Costa event, that was super raw, it was just me singing to a small room of people, and every person in that room being able to feel the project in whichever way it resonated with them. That\u2019s authentic. I don\u2019t know exactly what it may look like, but I just know it needs to feel raw and like as if it really did come from me, and in that moment that\u2019s really how I was feeling . Otherwise I\u2019m gonna watch it and be like\u2014if i don\u2019t believe it, no one\u2019s gonna believe it. Especially <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/open.spotify.com\/track\/7nUnUd9GCN2bUwzsMjljGe?si=66c44704c75a46e0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cBelieve It\u201d<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, as I was pulling out some of my drum sounds, this one drum sound [was] like my pet peeve, [but] I was like, \u2018I can flip this\u2019. It was like stepping out of what I&#8217;m used to, I\u2019m used to having a nice four chord piano thing, keep it simple, keep it cute, but this was very different for me. If anything I tried to challenge [myself]. <\/span><\/p>\n<h4><b>Anti-Habit<\/b><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I\u2019m what they may call neurodivergent, and I find it\u2019s\u00a0 so hard for me to create a routine. Oh my goodness. In my times of like, I guess you could say, when I\u2019m creating, and things I do to put together a creative body of work, I don\u2019t have any particular kind of like, set routines, habits, or anything. It really is all very free flow. Like, extreme level of free flow, actually. <\/span><\/p>\n<div style=\"width: 1080px;\" class=\"wp-video\"><video class=\"wp-video-shortcode\" id=\"video-2659-2\" width=\"1080\" height=\"1080\" preload=\"metadata\" controls=\"controls\"><source type='video\/mp4' src='https:\/\/sofar-blog-images.s3.eu-west-2.amazonaws.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/The-Palette_Hamzaa_1.mp4'\/><a href=\"https:\/\/sofar-blog-images.s3.eu-west-2.amazonaws.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/The-Palette_Hamzaa_1.mp4\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Palette_Hamzaa_1<\/a><\/video><\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4><b>Tears<\/b><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I say I\u2019m not a crier, because I\u2019m not, but when it comes to music, oh boy, oh boy. Just, might as well have a box of tissues ready, it can get wild.
