Whether it\u2019s a nationally recognized historic building, or a local spot that\u2019s interwoven into the growth of a community, you can just <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">feel <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">the history in the room. With that in mind, here are x of our favorite historical spaces for live music. <\/span><\/p>\n<h4><b>Westminster Abbey<\/b><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Let\u2019s start with a royal church filled with more than 1,000 years of history. <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.westminster-abbey.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Westminster Abbey<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> was founded in <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sofarsounds.com\/cities\/london\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">London<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> 960 AD and continues to serve the community to this day. This Gothics-style historical space is the resting place of 17 monarchs, and also holds a library filled with archived materials. Now, more than a decade later, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nationalartsclub.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The National Arts Club<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> located in the Tilden Mansion is a non-profit and member club meant to foster public interest in fine art. Though it remains a private club, there are numerous public events held in the National Historical Landmark space, including live music from Sofar artists. (Sorry, no photos for this one, you&#8217;ve got to get to a show to see it!)<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><b>St. Joseph\u2019s Church<\/b><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The 22,000 sq. ft Romanesque Revival space was originally built in <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sofarsounds.com\/cities\/san-francisco\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">San Francisco, CA<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in 1906 to be both a church and a school.
