Well, let\u2019s slow down for a minute to see what our Sofar artists have been up to lately. <\/p>\n<p>1. We\u2019re big fans of <strong>Madeline Edwards. <\/strong>In fact, she was one of our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sofarsounds.com\/blog\/articles\/a-wrap-on-2021-standout-sofar-artists\">\u00a02021 standout artists<\/a>, alongside some outrageously talented artists like 2021 NPR Tiny Desk winner <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=GRq_890hr-0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Neffy<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=xudqJ4ieaIM\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Jake Wesley Rogers<\/a>\u2026but back to Madeline Edwards\u2014\u00a0you might have the chance to see her live as she just kicked off a tour supporting Chris Stapleton that\u2019ll go through August around the U.S&#8230; We\u2019re ready to see her on the big stage, but we also can\u2019t get over this intimate performance she gave us back in 2020. <\/p>\n<div><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/B5inN5ikR_Y\" title=\"YouTube video player\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe> <\/div>\n<p>2. And speaking of tours, artist <strong>Maya Elise<\/strong> and her band The Good Dream are on the open road throughout the U.S. for the summer. A belated congratulations to Sofar alum <strong>Lindsay Clark <\/strong>for her lush new LP, <em>Carpe Noctem<\/em>, a collection full of tender, nuanced folk songs. Last but certainly far from least, we\u2019ve got a new video from <strong>Joseph Lawrenson<\/strong>, an artist alum with his former band <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=7xbIxIJC2zE\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Dancing Years<\/a>, and previous curator for Sofar Leeds. The artist recently released his new album <em>Songs for Film<\/em>, a collection of arrangements of classical pieces, followed by a few tracks redone as <em>The Britten Theatre Session<\/em>.
