We\u2019ve got updates on five of our lovely Sofar alumni and their latest endeavors. See a little more below on what these artists have been up to.<\/p>\n<p>1. The Chicago-based six-piece <strong>Post Animal <\/strong>just put out their new LP, <strong><em>Love Gibberish<\/em>, on May 16th<\/strong>. Coincidentally, their old bandmate <strong>Joe Keery<\/strong> has a release as well \u2014 the new season of <strong><em>Stranger Things<\/em><\/strong>, which kicks off <strong>May 27th on Netflix<\/strong>, where you can find Keery back in the role of \u201cSteve.\u201d Before you fall into the binge-watching black hole (or the upside down), revisit Keery and the band\u2019s dreamy, psychedelic Sofar performance of \u201cWhen I Get Home\u201d.<\/p>\n<div><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/rj2zDvBPXyI\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p>2. Heard any of <strong>Bad Bunny<\/strong>\u2019s new album <strong><em>Un Verano Sin Ti<\/em><\/strong>? What about the track \u201c<strong>Otro Atardecer\u201d,<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/CdOPvl8B1_j\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">featuring Sofar alum <strong>The Marias<\/strong>?<\/a> Before you go stream the dreamy jam on repeat, you\u2019ve gotta take a gander at The Marias\u2019 Sofar performance of \u201cI Don\u2019t Know You\u201d, a soothing little groover, to say the least. The group really knows how to wield a mellow vibe.<\/p>\n<div><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/ShsWxR1lvTY\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p>3.<strong> Baptiste W. Hamon<\/strong> has a new album for us\u2014<strong><em>Jusqu&#8217;\u00e0 la lumi\u00e8re<\/em><\/strong>, which was officially released in April. Based out of Austin, TX and France, where he splits time between Paris, and the tiny village of Chablis (which lends its name to one of France&#8217;s most iconic wines) the artist put together a collection of Americana songs that feel both raw and serene. It\u2019s just what we were hoping for after seeing his Sofar performance of \u201cTu n&#8217;en voulais pas\u201d, which somehow feels rowdy, tumbling, and intimate, all through one acoustic live video.<\/p>\n<div><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/xiSh8eVmIWE\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p>4. A very, very big congratulations is in order for alum <strong>Alisa Amador<\/strong>, who was just named the <strong>2022 NPR Tiny Desk Concert winner<\/strong> last week. We\u2019re looking forward to her upcoming debut in NPR\u2019s D.C. headquarters, but we\u2019re also still in love with the artist\u2019s 2016 Sofar Boston intimate performance, carried by her stunning voice and a little ukulele to match.<\/p>\n<div><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/sDrhZrfAEeM\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p>5. Lastly for our May news, have you listened to Australian artist<strong> Didirri\u2019<\/strong>s newest single, <strong>\u201cBegin Again\u201d?<\/strong> If you haven\u2019t, get to it, because it\u2019s a heartfelt, optimistic, uplifter of a folk-pop tune. Those of you who\u2019ve seen his Sofar performances already know the kind of moving magic the artist crafts through his songs.
