SCORES

Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon

I'm a sucker for a good fugue.

LISTEN HERE

— Ashley, Washington D.C.

Pride and Prejudice

There's nothing more romantic than the Pride and Prejudice score. I still cry every time I watch Darcy make his way over that hill.

— Mara, NYC

Cinema Paradisio

(Of course.)

LISTEN HERE

— Brandy, Sao Paolo

Conan the Barbarian

I'll take the nerdy route and suggest Basil Poledouris's score for Conan the Barbarian as a hidden gem

LISTEN HERE

— Stephen, Boston

Planet Earth II

The hour of watching animals nearly get killed is worth listening to the score.

LISTEN HERE

— Matt, London

Star Wars

Need I say more?

SOUNDTRACKS

The OC

That soundtrack helped shape my musical taste and I still regularly listen to it. — Christina, San Diego

My most proud Playlist is titled, "Seth Cohen's Mixtape". — Erica, Boston

The Big Chill

The Big Chill soundtrack is just banger after banger.  Rolling Stones classic “You Can’t Always Get What You Want”, Marvin Gaye’s “I Heard It Through The Grapevine,” “My Girl” and “Ain’t Too Proud To Beg” from the Temptations, “Joy to the World” by Three Dog Night. CLASSICS.

— Eric, NYC

The Bodyguard

It's so iconic! Whitney Houston vocals, a Dolly Parton cover and David Foster production, all equal divinity! It literally set the course of my life — it was the reason little 3 year-old me fell in love with music and singing (or "screeching" as my older brothers called it at the time).

LISTEN HERE

— Kirsty, London

Black Panther

Black Panther soundtrack was historic and iconic in so many ways.

LISTEN HERE

— Ashley, Washington D.C.

Josie and the Pussycats

A GROSSLY underrated soundtrack is Josie and the Pussycats featuring Letters to Cleo's Kay Hanley on vocals and a CRAZY team of songwriters including Babyface, Adam Duritz (Counting Crows), Adam Schlesinger (Fountaines of Wayne), Jane Wiedlin (The Go-Go's) and more.

LISTEN HERE

— Stephen, Boston

Taal

The soundtrack is spectacular. My dad played it all the time when I was a kid. It was the first time I realized that you don’t have to understand a language to understand the music.

LISTEN HERE

— Vishwas, NYC

Shrek 2

Shrek 2's soundtrack has Pete Yorn, Tom Waits, and Nick Cave on it so, I don't think you can deny that one.

LISTEN HERE

— Cody, Atlanta

Twilight

Twilight is 100% my go-to! The soundtrack is fire and broadened my music taste as a middle schooler. Every one of the saga’s soundtracks absolutely smashed.

LISTEN HERE

— Tori, Chicago

Austin Powers

I mean...

— Mark, Boston
