Artist and producer Austin Millz is definitely one to watch in Los Angeles’ music scene — his blend of hip-hop and dance music is sure to get your summer grooving. We’re celebrating the sun’s favorite season with Austin, Stella Artois Solstice Lager and some of the best local artists in California. From July 15-19, we’ll be hosting livestream shows with Stella in Sofar’s listening room, featuring incredible music, golden hour views, happy hour musings, and (our favorite) Stella Artois Solstice lagers.
To round it out, Austin is sharing his guide of the perfect things to do in LA during the summer. So open that window, feel the sunny breeze and start smelling the ocean air:

“I love kicking back with friends on the rooftop of my apartment or friends’ apartments. The rooftop bar Broken Shaker at the Freehand downtown is very dope. I’ve DJed there a couple of times. In West Hollywood, I like going to the Roxy. It’s a bar with a couple floors, and the upstairs has a little rooftop. Downtown and West Hollywood have different energies. Downtown is a bit hipsterish, West Hollywood is more like Soho in NYC — a little more chic.”
“I visit the beach, especially Santa Monica pier, when I want to reset and chill. I’ve also been able to go to Manhattan Beach too during this period.”
“I love going to Palos Verdes outside the city; it’s a little town by the coast with good scenery. I like taking a lot of road trips down the coast and driving around. It’s different being a creative in LA. I’m originally from New York City — everything in New York is compacted and it’s a rush because you’re on top of each other. In LA I feel like all the space, the sunsets, the weather and the sun gives it a different vibe. You can decompress and drive anywhere and chill. I get inspiration by driving down the Pacific Coast Highway. I love driving to Malibu too.”
“I’m a foodie so I love eating at different places. LA’s cool because it has so many places to eat outside. I love going to see shows at the Palladium in Hollywood. Good Times at Davey Wayne’s is a really dope bar that plays ‘70s music and the DJs play vinyls. They have an outdoor patio with frozen margaritas and slushie drinks. Pinz Bowling in Studio City and the arcade place Two Bit Circus are really fun too.”
We can’t wait to see Austin perform on July 15, kicking off a week of the golden hour shows of your dreams with some of the best artists in LA. Check out the performances and raise a glass of Stella Artois Solstice Lager to the sun’s favorite season.
