Indie rock outfit Zoochie is made up of 5 friends who came together in New Brunswick, NJ, having all met one by one, piecing the members together over the course of 3 years and fully immersing themselves in the Jersey underground scene. Writing music filled with a rich tapestry of colors and energy, Libby (vocals), Shane (Guitar), Tyler (Guitar), Popp (Bass), and Matt (Drums) all share the same passion for creating art for listeners to dance and feel.
The group is over the moon to have released their debut album “Honey” on January 10, 2020 which is a 9 song collection driven by dynamic instrumentation and heartfelt storytelling, recorded by Paul Ritchie of The Parlor Mob at New Future Studio in Belmar, NJ. Lead singer, Libby, now based in NYC, emphasizes in her lyrics the love/hate relationship with the constant changes that entering adulthood brings. Zoochie’s sold out album release show was held at Pianos NYC, and the group will be touring the Northeast this Spring. The band previously released their first EP “Pow!” in November 2018 and have since put out their fiery single “TALK” in August 2019.
