Zelda Presents is happy to collaborate with friend and fellow Filipino musician Milbert Tumaliuan! Zelda Presents is a personal project with the mission to continually provide fresh live music experiences for the community while also providing quality work for local artists. Zelda is a Houston-born-and-raised half Filipina violinist who has a passion for performing music at a high level, collaborating with her friends, and producing live shows in their entirety. She attended grad school in Boston, was a member and Co-director of new music ensemble Duo Scordatura, a member of Opera in the Heights, a Co-founder and member of Houston-based ensembles Mud Turtle Quintet and Chamber Collective, and has performed, coached, and taught in Europe and the Caribbean. And yes, she has even performed in Carnegie Hall! She is also the Director of Classical Revolution Houston, an organization she has represented at Sofar many times in the past. Zelda is classically trained but loves to dabble in other genres. She has performed with other local artists including Slow Meadow and Chris Lively, and as a young student was a member of a performing violin group that played a lot of klezmer music! Another mission of hers is to slowly breach the divide between classical and other music (and their fans) in her shows. Follow her to see how it goes!
Zelda Presents has performed in Sofar Houston.
