Wolf Schubert-K. typically performs in duo or trio setups. For his latest record, he collaborated with Julia Embers (Doublebass, Vocals) and Steven Huther (Guitar, Dobro, Banjo). The trio has dedicated themselves to a serene genre that blends elements of country, crooner, and duet songs, with a partially jazzy touch in the recordings. Alongside original compositions by Wolf, the album features classics by Hank Williams, the Everly Brothers, as well as ballads by Townes van Zandt and Neil Young. As a committed individualist and independent artist, he has once again released his current album under his own name. In live performances, the trio celebrates the art of dynamic restraint with splendid two- and three-part harmonies. Using instruments like double bass, acoustic guitars, Dobro, and banjo—essentially a typical Bluegrass setup—Wolf and his friends explore a wide stylistic range of music, extending to driving rock songs. Wolf is an experienced musician, yet remains somewhat of an insider's tip. The singer-songwriter has consistently followed his own musical path, having been a pioneer of "Alternative Country" since the 90s.
