Wild Rivers is an indie folk band that has carved out their name as one of the Canada’s most exciting young acts. Culminating with a sold-out hometown show at Toronto’s Adelaide Hall, the group released their self-titled debut album in April 2016. They are built around the special chemistry of a male/female vocal duo, originating in Kingston Ontario under the name ‘Devan & Khalid’. The band is now based out of Toronto, and have collaborated with two others to become the four-piece that is ‘Wild Rivers’. Finding influence from folk legends such as James Taylor, Fleetwood Mac and many of today’s Canadian indie rock contemporaries, Wild Rivers blends a classic feel with their own unique flavour. The sum of these parts results in catchy, meaningful songs with a contemporary pop appeal. Wild Rivers’ aforementioned debut album has already found great success, with over 1 million streams across online platforms. This young band has been consistently packing venues, obtaining new, loyal fans and are poised to ascend through the Canadian folk scene and beyond.
