Valdo Viana

A Brazilian artist of cosmopolitan vocation that reaffirms his music universality through abroad connections. In 2011, Valdo Viana performed in Europe: Paris, Brussels, Berlin and Lisbon, dazzling the cosmopolitan attendances with his Brazilian versatility and spontaneity. In March 2014, he recorded Brasilha, album which brings a fusion of Brazilian Folk Music and World Music. This album was readily accepted by digital magazines from France, Germany, Belgium, Argentine, Colombia and Uruguay. In Brasilia, Valdo Viana made international concerts with foreign artists as Lautaro Feldman (Argentine), Javier Barría (Chile), beyond several concerts with local artists. In December 2014, Valdo made his first South American Tour. He was acclaimed by the audience and the press with concerts in Argentine, Chile and Uruguay. After that tour, Lautaro Feldman recorded a Spanish version of Emaranhado – ninth track of Brasilha album. In October 2015, his first Asian Tour with 15 concerts at the major Jazz Houses from Malaysia and Singapore. He performed with artists from Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, Japan and United States. After the tour, the Aussie artist Mlekö recorded É pra viver, third track of Brasilha album. In April 2016, Valdo Viana performed in Colombia with artists from Bogota and Medellin. During the tour, another song was recorded by a foreign artist. Laura Saavedra recorded Mochileiro, sixth track of Brasilha album. In November 2016, he made his first Scandinavian Tour. Valdo Viana performed in Oslo, Copenhagen, Stockholm and Orebro for a foreign audience at universities Theaters and Jazz Houses. In May 2017, Valdo Viana made concerts in Paris and Portugal: Lisbon, Braga, Guimarães and Almada. The concerts were sold out, opening up new opportunities to come back in 2018.
