The Zangwills

The Zangwills met at 6th form college in Northwich, Cheshire. Each of them bring very different influences to the band and that, along with Jake Vickers’ instantly recognisable voice, is reflected in their distinctive sound. Their unusual, youthful vibe and energetic performances set them apart, resulting in an army of passionate followers. With a reputation for strong live sets, they have built a following around the Northwest UK, comfortably headlining 600 capacity venues including Chester Live Rooms, Club Academy & Gorilla in Manchester. Beyond the region, they have sold-out The Grace (London), Sidney & Matilda & Hyde Park Book Club among others. Support slots have included Yungblud and a much-coveted slot with The Charlatans at their North by Northwich event. Festival slots have included Dot to Dot, Focus Wales, Sound City, Un-Convention and a 60 min Saturday Mainstage slot at Wychwood Festival. Their song Judas on the Dancefloor is about the issues surrounding groping, spiking and harassment on nights out. The video for it was produced by Maisie Williams (Game of Thrones) and BAFTA-winning young Director Lowri Roberts, it went on to win the award for Best International Music Video at Focus Wales Film Festival 2022.
