The Nickajack Men are a four-piece band from Denny, who pitch there style somewhere between alternative-country and indie rock. The band features vocalist and guitarist Lewis White, guitarist and vocalist Michael Garner, bassist Jamie Burns, drummer Matthew McAlister and on the keys Matthew Boyle. Having all grown up in the same town with a similar interest in music, they decided to form The Nickajack Men in 2014. With heavy influences from bands such as The Districts, The War on Drugs, Delta Spirit and The Alabama Shakes, the band started writing their own music while playing local shows and gaining valuable live experience. They released their debut double-sided single at a sold out King Tut’s, Glasgow in July 2016 featuring self-penned tracks, A-side “Gordo” and B-side “Family Tree”. They went on to release their single “Hurricane” at a sold out show in Stereo, Glasgow in October 2016. Having recorded with Paul McNally of 45 A-Side Recordings in Glasgow at the beginning of 2017, the band have recently released their debut EP “Wasting Away” to rave reviews.
