The Evening's Comedians

At yesterday’s show, you saw the following comedians: Chris Robinson has done tapings for Just For Laughs and Kevin Hart’s LOL network, won Sirius XM’s Top Comic in 2016 and was presented The Arts Acclaim Award by the Mayor of Brampton in the summer of 2017. Keesha Brownie is a Canadian Comedy Award nominee, has appeared on MTV, CBC: The List, and has performed at various comedy festivals across North America. A Humber Theatre and Second City Graduate she produced her own comedy series entitled Jokers Corner, and will appear on Kevin Hart’s LOL Network. By day, Crystal Ferrier is a behavioural therapist and by night, an actress, comedian, model, writer and producer. A regular at Kenny Robinson’s Nubian Disciples of Pryor, Crystal has also graced the stages of Caroline’s on Broadway NYC and The Comedy Store in Mumbai, India, and recorded for Kevin Hart’s LOL Network. Nitish Sakhuja is a fixture on Toronto’s “420 friendly” standup scene, hosting and producing a weekly show at The Underground Comedy Club, appearing regularly at Corner Comedy Club and having performed at the JFL42 comedy festival. His videos for HERB have amassing over 7 million views. Amish Patel was literally a rocket scientist before booking a leading role on a kids’ comedy show for TVO, Amazon and Nickelodeon, and appearing on Saving Hope, Man Seeking Woman, and Odd Squad. He’s opened for Saturday Night Live alum Tim Meadows, and Iliza Schlesinger, and his sketch show, Melting Pot, is currently being developing for Kevin Hart’s LOL Network. The evening’s MC Paul Thompson has worked with such acts as Brian Posehn, Joe Rogan, Luenell, Kenny vs. Spenny, and toured Canada and the UK. He had a #1 comedy album on iTunes, headlined Kenny Robinson’s Nubian Show, and his Just For Laughs debut was taped for Kevin Hart. An active actor, he’s best known as the voice of Wishbone for 3 seasons.
