Tezeta Band

Since 2008, Tezeta Band has brought their high energy seven piece Ethio-Soul sound to clubs across the Northwest and have opened for such legends as, Mahmoud Ahmed, Aster Aweke, HUgh Masekala, Toots & the Maytals, Lee Fields and Vieux Farke Toure. Their music has been featured on several internationally known compilations, Noise and Chill Out Ethiopian Groove Worldwide and Beyond Addis. Tezeta Band has also released a self-titled EP and recently completed their first full length LP "The Origin of Night life" in 2015. In 2014 Tezeta Band's music was also used in the award winning independent documentary "Zemene". Tezeta Band consists of members of The Five Fingers of Funk Talbott Guthrie/drums, Ted Hille/ Saxophone, Tim Cook / Keyboards. Curt Bieker/Trombone & Josh Prewitt/ Trumpet, with Guitarist Brent Martens & Arcellus Sykes (From Ural Thomas & The Pain) and Percussionist Jim Fisher.
