Taylor Phelan is an American singer, songwriter and recording artist based in Dallas. Phelan began to write and perform as a teenager and later founded the indie rock band, The Canes, after moving to Chicago in 2008. Just five years later, Phelan was a favorited contestant on the seventh season of NBC’s The Voice, an experience that revealed his tremendous talent as a solo artist. His work with Pharrell and Adam Levine alongside endorsements from the most notable music critics propelled the budding artist into a national spotlight. In 2016, Phelan teamed up with Nashville-based producer Joshua D Niles to gear up for his first release of solo material. “Settle Down” was premiered by Yahoo Music as the first single from Phelan’s debut EP, 1 of 2. The song was accompanied by a critically acclaimed music video directed by Los Angelas based filmmaker Ariel Fisher. In the summer of 2018, Phelan released 2 of 2. The first single from his subsequent release, a song titled “Long Way Down”, made it to #38 on the Billboard Top-40 indicator chart and pushed Phelan over 1.5 million total radio plays. Phelan has been featured in Paste Magazine, praised by Huffington Post and touted as a “supreme” live act by Bandsintown.
