Sylent Nqo, is a multi award winning Zimbabwean/Mozambican Guitarist, Composer, and Singer/Songwriter, who has significantly influenced the music scene with his integration of diverse musical styles and genres sourced from various ethnic backgrounds. Widely recognized as "The Guitar Sangoma," a title signifying his music's healing essence and the spiritual connection he forges through his performances, Sylent Nqo captivates audiences with his emotive and vibrant musical expressions. Leading his band, "The Noise Makers," he has graced prestigious stages with iconic musicians such as UB40 ft Ali Campbell, the late Dr. Oliver Mtukudzi, Chiwoniso Maraire, and Hugh Masekela. His musical prowess extends to collaborating with renowned artists like Davido, Mr Eazi, Jah Prayzah, and Shatta Wale showcasing his versatility as both composer and guitarist. His accolades include being named the "Senior Solo Instrumental Grand Champion of the World" at the World Championships of Performing Arts in Hollywood in 2016, a groundbreaking achievement for Zimbabwe & Mozambique. He further solidified his musical legacy by clinching the title of "Best Alternative Musician" at the Zimbabwe Music Awards (ZIMA) in 2019, underscoring his enduring musical imprint.
