Sunder

Hailing from Sydney’s south west, Sunder began its humble journey as nothing more than a group of friends bonding over a shared love of music and art. Having been described as ‘warm, heartfelt’ and ‘shoegazey’ by Triple J’s Claire Mooney, the band is focused on pushing the boundaries of their ‘blend of indie rock and soul’ whilst highlighting the influences that shape its foundation. The group has solidified a following not just within their hometown but also the South East coast of Wollongong and within Sydney city’s Inner West. Achieved through a dedication and focus on live performance, Sunder have supported much loved Australian acts such as the likes of Beddy Rays, The Terry’s, Satin Cali, Salarymen, Jet City Sports Club, Smartcasual, Mitch Santiago and The Belair Lip Bombs. Aswell as featuring on festival bills with These New South Wales, Mia Wray, Peach Fur, Keaper, Downgirl, Last Quokka, Sesame Girl, Asha Jefferies, Bean Magazine and Loose Content from performing at Mountain Goat Valley Crawl Brisbane, Waking Dream Festival Melbourne and Moving Different Festival Sydney in 2024. Their latest track ‘Looking Glass’ received airplay on Triple J Unearthed and playlisting from The Australian Music Scene and The Underground Stage whilst also featuring on Futuremag’s Top 10 Aussie Releases of the week. Some of their previous releases also gained significant traction on Triple J’s Home and Hosed segment, FBi Radio, SYN Radio and 2SER Radio. With the highly anticipated release of their debut EP ‘Entwined’ in November 2024, Sunder are showing no signs of slowing the spread of their music down.
