Sten Heinoja is a young outstanding pianist from Estonia, living and studing in London, UK. Sten (born 1993 in Tallinn):" I started my piano studies at age 4, in Tallinn Music High School where my teachers were Maie Klesment and Marju Roots. In 2015 I graduated from Estonian Academy of Music (cum laude) in prof Ivari Ilja piano class and continued my studies on Master´s level at London Royal College of Music, thanks to full scolarship. My tutor in College is prof Vanessa Latarche. I have given concerts regulary. In recent years I´ve been performing with Florida Lakes Symphony Orchestra - piano concerts by Edvard Grieg and Sergei Rachmaninoff. In Estonia I have worked with many chambers group as a soloist and as an accompanist. As a soloist, I have performed with Estonian National Symphony Orchestra, with Tallinn Music High School´s Symphony Orchestra and with Tallinn Chamber Orchestra. I have also participated in many masterclasses given by prof Claudio Trovajoli, prof, Vanessa Latarche, prof. Lauri Väinmaa, prof. Arbo Valdma, prof. Eteri Andjaparidze etc." I have participated in many competitions in Estonia and abroad. 2007 Klaviermusik competition in Lithuania - diploma and special prize by the organizers 2010 Jurmala Piano competition in Latvia- finalist 2010 Estonian music schools competition - III prize 2011 and 2012 Estonian music schools competition - I prize 2013 In Istanbul, Turkey Thomas Kuti Music competition - one finalists 2014 VIII Estonian Piano Competition - I prize. All the special prizes (Estonian National Symphony Orchestra prize; Estonian Piano Teachers Association prize, Lilian Semper and Helmi Valtman scholarships).
