Shogun Shato

South London born artist, Shogun Shato began pursuing music as a career, in Edinburgh, towards the start of 2020. Being heavily informed by a variety of musical genres including grime, hip hop, garage and jazz, he channels these influences in combination with thought-provoking and witty lyricism to create his sound. Songs have the ability to paint a picture of an entirely new world in someone's mind, and that is what sparked his passion for both music and storytelling. After a successful first year of releases, including being featured on BBC Introducing, Shogun Shato released his first EP “Chrysalis”, paying homage to many of his musical influences whilst simultaneously informing listeners of his journey up until this point. Following this, Shogun Shato travelled to Japan before returning to South London where he spent the rest of 2021 developing his craft on various stages across South London. There is much to look forward to this year as Shogun Shato’s sound develops.
