Sarah Factor

Sarah Factor is a Brooklyn-based singer/songwriter who was born and raised in Toronto, Canada. Sarah moved to New York City at the age of 18, fresh out of high school, with a musical dream and her step dad’s acoustic guitar- restrung so she could play left-handed. She started writing music after graduating from The American Musical and Dramatic Academy (AMDA), taught herself a few chords, and started playing open mics all over the city. Sarah’s style of songwriting is a reflection of her exposure to Joni Mitchell while growing up and singing camp songs in the open air of Northern Ontario. Sarah’s voice will get you right in the feels with her soulful and emotive sound that compliment her catchy melodies- sure to get stuck in your head after listening. Sarah Factor is an international artist who regularly plays shows in both Toronto and New York City. She frequents such historical venues as Pianos and Rockwood Music Hall, both located on Manhattan’s lower east side, who have seen the likes of Martha Wainwright and Jessie J. Sarah Factor has an EP “Everywhere We’ve Been” which debuted on WRSU 88.7FM, and a single "Lasting Mark, both available on iTunes, Amazon, Spotify, and various other digital platforms. She enjoys playing her music while educating children in the NYC public school system (her full-time job), helping fans around the country to feel all of their feelings while singing along to her songs!
