SANJ

SANJ is a Dark Pop & R&B artist bred in Chicago and based in New York City. Growing up as a South Asian Hindu in the United States, SANJ has worked to fuse her Carnatic vocal training with her Western upbringing through her songwriting. Her latest EP "At Dusk" was titled so because of the Hindu origin of "Sanjana", also known as "Saranyu" the goddess of clouds and dusk. SANJ's music is a reflection of all forms of living, including the happy, sad, hopeful, angry, peaceful, and flawed parts. Her music twists and turns from nostalgic ballads like "Cloudmind" to vengeful, dark anthems like "Press Me" to wavy melodies like "I'd Go Back", all in all to illustrate an eclectic entity that is yet to be seen in the music industry. SANJ's upcoming project "Project Child" is set to release August 27th, 2021.
