Safii Koii (formerly known as Jasmine2Safi) is a Singer and Music Producer, born and raised in North London. She has an ever-shifting sense of style when it comes to the music she produces. Her influences stem from eclectic artists such as FKA twigs, Gorillaz, Jannelle Monae, Toro y Moi, James Blake, and many more. Honest, soulful, and chaotic is what you get from a Safii Koii song. She always looks for ways to convey the intricacies of emotions within her music. Her debut - under her previous alias Jasmine2Safi - was 'Monotone', which was released back in April 2018. To her surprise, Koii was given the opportunity to perform at a BBC Introducing masterclass, featuring panelists such as DJ Target. Later on, she received her first airplay and interview at BBC 1xtra by DJ Target himself. She then changed her name to Safii Koii, signifying a change within her music. 'POSTERS' (a project she wrote, mixed, and engineered herself) is her debut single released in May 2021. Originally scheduled for release in 2020, the project had to be delayed due to the global pandemic. After its release, she was then featured as BBC Introducing Yorkshire’s Fresh Face, gaining further exposure on Tom Robinson’s BBC6 Music Mixtape radio show.
Safii Koii has performed in Sofar Leeds.
