Ryan Allay

I’m from Cape Coast, Ghana, now based in Northern California. I grew up surrounded by rich African rhythms, reggae, and gospel, and over time, I found myself drawn to the warmth of retro soul, the depth of blues, and the groove of R&B. My sound is a blend of all these influences, a reflection of where I’m from and what moves me. I write in English, French, Portuguese, Spanish, and Fante, my mother tongue, because language, like music, connects us. My songs tell stories of love, faith, and everyday experiences; sometimes deeply personal, sometimes lighthearted, but always real. People have described my voice as soothing, my music as a breath of fresh air, and that’s what I hope to offer: something honest, something that makes you feel. I’m still finding my voice, still shaping my sound, but at the heart of it all, I just want to create music that resonates, music that feels like a conversation, like home, like something you didn’t know you needed.
