Riga Gospel Choir is based in Riga, Latvia and mostly performs contemporary gospel music. It was founded in 2003 and is the first Latvian gospel choir. Since then, the choir has been active both in Latvia and outside its borders. Riga Gospel Choir has performed and taken part in gospel festivals around the world and done projects with Grammy award winning gospel music artists from USA - Donald Lawrence and Myron Butler, UK (Karen Gibson), Ukraine (Ivan Dorn) and many Latvian musicians (Brainstorm among others). Riga Gospel Choir was awarded a gold medal in the 2014 World Choir Games and also in the 2017 Grand Prix of Nations. The choir regularly performs at different events, festivals, TV shows as well as organises its own concerts. Since 2016 the director and conductor of the Riga Gospel Choir is Kristīne Prauliņa - a renowned soul, gospel and jazz singer, Grand Prix winner of the International Jazz Artist Contest “Riga Jazz Stage”.
