Orlando Ruiz, better known as Recoechi, is an Artist and Musician born and raised on the Southeast side of Chicago. Recoe’s single “Luminary” and “Fall” have been featured on notable radio stations and blogs in Chicago such as 107.5 WGCI, Power 92.3, Lyrical Lemonade, and Whats The Word TV. He also featured on “Sway In the Morning” and streams throughout multiple SiriusXm Shade45 stations. Recoe grew up with his Mother, father and 3 siblings, in a high crime area The 4th district, better known as South Chicago. He began writing music in high school at 15 and began to record and perform in his freshman year of college. After his freshman year of college, he came back home to perfect his craft of music. He began to perform at open mics all over the local scene in Chicago to become a notable face. In the summer of 2017 at age 20, he released his first project named “The Slow Grind” at the Iridium Clothing Store in Chicago hosted by Trey White from 107.5 WGCI. He performed in 2018 at Taylor Bennets Winter Bash. Recoe’s vivid story telling lyricism of his upbringing on the South Side of Chicago is authentic and compelling and is what grabs the audience’s attention immediately. He is currently in works with notable producer C sick from Chicago who had a huge impact on the Chicago drill sound. They both came together and are in the works to bringing Recoe’s debut LP called “The Eastside Collection”. Recoe wants to bring a new sound to what a Chicago is currently known for today to share the diversity of hip hop that comes from the home of the blues.
