Peter and Kerry have come back together. Older, wiser, the “and” reinstated, after a 10 year hiatus. They are releasing a long-awaited new album titled ‘You, Me and the Moon’, featuring twelve new songs to the audience that have stuck by them, nearly twenty-five million online streams later. As independent artists once more, these twelve new songs will also reach a new audience, one whose ears might prick up at music that sounds and feels tangible. Played by hand. That lives in the physical world, imperfections and all. As well as high-end digital recording equipment on hand, they used reel-to-reel tape machines, toy cassette recorders, phone voice-memos, BBC ribbon microphones from the 1960s. In both an evolution and a departure from the vulnerability of their previous releases, they are less vulnerable by default, and are now raw by choice. They took their time and have created something wholly and brazenly honest.
Peter and Kerry has performed in Sofar London.
