Parhām Haghighi

Parhām Haghighi, a New York-based music producer, vocalist, pianist, and educator, traces his musical journey back to Mashhad, Iran, where he grew up in a musically talented family. Driven by a deep passion for music from a young age, he began playing piano through self-teaching, later pursuing formal training. His musical pursuits evolved through choir participation and performing as a keyboardist and singer in a rock band. Despite earning a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering, Parham realized his true calling lay in music. At 27, he moved to the United States in 2012 to study at Berklee College of Music in Boston, where he graduated Summa cum Laude in Contemporary Writing and Production with a focus on Vocal Jazz Performance. During his time at Berklee, Parham trained under luminaries such as Javier Limon, Simon Shaheen, and Joyce Moreno. He also received Berklee’s esteemed “Outstanding Achievement Award” and has since performed at music festivals and venues across the US as a vocalist and pianist. With over two decades of experience teaching private and group lessons in piano, voice, and theory, Parham has a fervent dedication to education, particularly for children. Since relocating to Brooklyn in 2017, he has collaborated with Pardis for Children, a NYC-based non-profit promoting Persian language and culture to Iranian children, where he now serves as both the music director and assistant executive director. Through these endeavors, Parham ardently pursues his musical path, with a mission to enrich the often-overlooked landscape of Iranian music.
