Panbeats started out on the streets of Berlin, the moment young musician Ivar Karm discovered his inner sense of rhythm through African drums. Moving forward both in music and in Europe, he came across an instrument called handpan - an encounter that resulted in what can be described as love from the first note on. Through the tranquil, soothing and slightly melancholy sound of handpan, Ivar takes his audience to a journey through spaces unexplored and enchanting. No ear, however fastidious, will be left untouched. Panbeats plays the Aurora handpan crafted under the guidance of Simo-Pekka Tiainen, a Finnish master maker of steelpans for more than 30 years. Panbeats has played at a number of music festivals in Finland, as well as performed in Germany and Estonia.
Panbeats has performed in Sofar Tallinn.
