Cleveland-based ensemble OPUS 216 was founded in 2012 in collaboration with the Cleveland Museum of Art for a large public event following extensive renovations. Since that time, the ensemble has performed for hundreds of public and private events throughout northeast Ohio, combining artistry, creativity, and professionalism to create music for events of all sizes and occasions that are both beautiful and impactful. OPUS 216 musicians recognize the value of live music and the importance of thinking beyond the norms of traditional classical music concerts in their approach. Directed by violinist and founder Ariel Clayton Karas, OPUS 216 collaborates frequently with the Cleveland Museum of Art, American Greetings, Cleveland Clinic, and numerous northeast Ohio arts districts and nonprofits. They have appeared in special performances at Music Box Supper Club, Cain Park, Quicken Loans Arena, and Progressive Field. If you want to know more or like what you hear, follow them on Facebook or Instagram. They still live in the Stone Age and haven’t figured out how to start a mailing list.
OPUS 216 has performed in Sofar Cleveland.
