Born and raised in São Paulo, Brazilian singer and composer Nicole Salmi began writing her own songs and playing the guitar at the age of 12. Her first performances were at soirées organised by composers in the US and New Zealand. Since then, she has performed in Brazil, the US, Norway and Switzerland and as far away as New Zealand and India. Nicole has recently released her new album "Auto Mar". It is her fourth.
"Nicole has a contemporary Brazilian pop music style. Her voice is strong and unique - one that every artist should strive to have", says Alexandre Fontanetti, the producer of her new album. Her album release held in July 2016 at the Itaú Centro Cultural on Paulista Avenue, in the heart of one of Latin America's largest metropolises, sold out within an hour, and shows held in the concert hall of the MASP (São Paulo Museum of Modern Art)and other important venues in Brazil were just as full.
