Natasha Noorani is a musician, curator and music historian from Lahore, Pakistan. Her music as a genre-bending Pakistani artist traverses the space between rnb, pop & neo-soul. She is currently working on her debut album, RONAQ, produced by Talal Qureshi & Abdullah Siddiqui. Her recent single, Faltu Pyar, with Hasan Raheem and Talal Qureshi, was one of the biggest independent hits of the summer. Noorani has collaborated across the industry, including with Strings, Sikandar Ka Mandar, and as part of the band Biryani Brothers. Her music has been featured on Boiler Room (2021), Velo Sound Station (2020), and on the films Baaji (2019) and Chalay Thay Saath (2017). Her curatorial work has influenced two of the country’s largest music brands: Coke Studio and the Pakistan Super League (PSL). Noorani was general manager of Coke Studio Season 10, and co-curated the lineup for Season 14. Noorani also curated the PSL’s Groove Mera anthem and Taranay soundtrack. Lahore Music Meet, Pakistan’s premier music festival, was co-founded by Noorani in 2015, and provided the first stages for many of Pakistan’s current musicians. Peshkash is Noorani’s project to archive 20th Century Pakistani music. Peshkash influences Noorani’s ‘Lolly-Pop’ sound – modern electronic pop inspired by subcontinental music of the 20th Century.
