Nasibo

Nasibo is a Harare based musician who plays the Mbira instrument from Zimbabwe, she sings vocals which sooth and uplifts one’s soul, as she incorporates vocal techniques such as Shona yodelling, the Ndebele styles, scatting and other styles she borrows from other African culture. To date she has performed on several stages with big artists like Habib Koite in a band called Music Crossroads Divas in 2018, HIFA 2017 she has worked with artists from Zimbabwe such as Jah Prayzer, Oliver Mtukudzi, Edith weUtonga, Music According to Percussion (as a backing vocalist). Nasibo took part in a cultural musical experiment called Maisha Music Experiment held in Ethiopia by EU delegation to the African Union. As a seasoned Mbira, singer and song writer she got a chance to showcase music from her country Zimbabwe. She is currently working on her album 'ZARUWE'. Growing in her music career, she has found a way to address issues that affect society through using her vocal ability to move one's soul from the physical to a trance or spiritual experience that heals the soul. Her music lifestyle has seen her growing as a social and cultural activist. She sings of the problems that affect women and children, Ubuntu and other social issues.
