NANí is a singer, actor and writer from brooklyn, ny who writes what they describe as “sad gay guitar music.” other people have described NANí’s music, however, as “braiding from folk to folk-r&b… with progressive swells and dives [that] create an atmosphere that is dually tense and relaxing,” which probably paints a better picture. in may, they released their debut album, “Cowboy Song,” a collection of folktales ranging from religious anger to trans joy to ancestral veneration. you can follow them on instagram @imanithecowboy for more info!
