Miriam Nyarko (Mih-Ree-Uhm Knee-R-Co) is a 22 year-old Afro/R&B singer-songwriter based in Hertfordshire. Miriam found her love for music at the age of 4 whilst singing in church, surrounded by gospel influences. She may also be recognised for her extensive theatre and television credits. Her career began at the age of 10 when she performed in Disney’s ‘The Lion King’ at the Lyceum Theatre in London’s West End. Over seven musicals, a Marvel show and a Disney series later, miriam landed the lead role in ‘BLACKWOOL’, a new film that just premiered at Tribeca Festival in New York. Miriam’s love for songwriting blossomed from a young age, but took over at the age of 14, when she got the opportunity to perform her original song at Royal Albert Hall. Fast forward eight years, Miriam has released her first EP in which she explores the Afro/R&B sound. Some of her key influences include Tori Kelly, Madison Ryan Ward & H.E.R, Tems and Stormzy.
