In the spectrum of humor, confusion, and vulnerability, Mirby writes colorful alt pop that mixes genres and shines with honesty. Mirby started her solo career in May 2023, and she is currently publishing all her music as an 100% independent artist in collaboration with producer Valdemar Littauer Bendixen. In no time Mirby has created an identity as the musician who wouldn’t dare to pursue being a solo artist, only to watch herself jump into it and use both her vulnerability and quirkiness as the most important strengths in her songwriting. Examples of this can be seen when she proudly sings about being completely alone in the world, having anxiety, giving her poor self-esteem the finger or comparing fuckboys to fast food. Her energy is warm and unpretentious, and she loves self-irony as well as performance videos; all of which she practices on social media. Mirby writes songs with inspiration from a good mix of all her favorite artists – including Gwen Stefani, Sabrina Carpenter, Johnny Yokun and Bbybites – not to forget her all-time favorite producer, Charlie Puth. Her music revolves around catchy pop melodies and creative productions, and she often plays with both the sweet and the raw in her vocal delivery, which makes her voice highly original. In a universe of personal experiences and creative lyrics, Mirby creates a live experience where captivating melodies meet moments of both fun and fragility.
