Micaela Kleinsmith

Micaela Kleinsmith is a singer-songwriter/guitarist who has done many different things in her short career. During Micaela’s High school days she had performed on stages such as the Grandest Grand Arena, Waterfront Amphitheater, Cape Town International Airport, Jazz on the lawn and In many places with a choir in Germany Stuttgart. After high school she’s also been a part of many different projects, a few examples were her SA idols experience where she proceeded through to theatre week and made it to the group rounds on Season 12 in 2016. She also won the Parow Talent search competition where she competed against not only singers but dancers too in that same year. Another competition she had the pleasure of being apart of was the KFM singer-songwriter competition where she was chosen to be one of the top 10 singer-songwriters in Cape Town. Her first single, “Smile” was released through this competition and was performed on KFM Radio and the Grand Arena Stage. She has opened for Craig Lucas and has partnered with Bluroom records on a collaborative EP called the Bluroom series. She has recorded 5 songs for the EP which has been released of which two have been playlisted on the Heart 104.5 FM and Hot 919 in Johannesburg. Music videos for 4 of the songs have been released to youtube. Micaela’s most recent project was the release of her newest single, “Will I Ever.” It has been playlisted on KFM and Smile FM thus far. Micaela also just enjoys gigging around Cape Town and busking at the V&A Waterfront regularly, while still writing music daily. This is all just the beginning for Micaela as she looks forward to a continued discovery of her journey through music and invites you to follow the excitement along with her.
