metty's music is moving and unconventional. Her soft vocals are embedded in a mix of acoustic guitar and electronic highlights. Every line in metty's songs is honest: “My songwriting captures exactly what I’m going through at that very moment in my life, no empty phrases. We tend to think we are alone with our feelings when in fact we aren’t. I want to give people comfort through my music and make them feel seen and heard.” metty’s vulnerability on stage makes her music all the more authentic. At her shows, she creates a feeling of familiarity that immediately captivates the audience. Whether it’s choreographed songs with dancers or just her voice and a piano, it is obvious that an artist like metty is missing in today’s music landscape. After playing support shows for artists like Alex G and Wallis Bird in Germany, she played a sold out showcase at c/o pop in Cologne and her first gig abroad. She won the prize for emerging young artist from the city of Darmstadt for her first EP “Outdated” and her songs have been featured in playlists such as ‘Off Pop’ and ‘Fresh Finds’.
