"Born and raised in Charlotte North Carolina, Kevin Carter began his creative ventures in the fashion world as an outlet to cope with the hardships endured from bullying in High School. Eventually his work would be displayed in the Mint Museum for 3 consecutive years alongside some of the worlds most prestigious fashion designers like Christian Dior and Yves Saint Laurent in the "And The Bead Goes On" exhibition with 2 sold out fashion shows to celebrate the opening of the exhibit.
In 2015, Carter took an abrupt change of paths & embarked on a new endeavor to help him deal with his chronic depression - Music, a talent that was cultivated long before Fashion. With all vocals, instrumentation and songwriting by Carter along with a coinciding short film, “The Commencement of MercuryCarter”, (that has reached over 12,000 views & 50,000 plays on his musical project), MercuryCarter's debut EP "Mercury" reached critical acclaim and has landed him the astounding opportunity of performing at the 2018 Montreux Jazz Festival. With his exceptional pitch, 3.5 octave range, and unique phrasing, MercuryCarter provides sound and color that will infinitely satisfy all music lovers for generations to come."
