Maggie Monroe is a disciple of Brandi Carlile, Patty Griffin, and Dolly Parton. The queer Americana artist interweaves authentic narratives of personal growth with catchy melodies that send audiences home humming along. She is a unique blend of country, rock, blues, and bluegrass that often makes listeners say, “I don’t usually like country music but...” Monroe is currently Boston based as she studies Songwriting, American Roots Performance, and Music Production & Engineering at Berklee College of Music. Monroe hopes to one day run a recording studio in Austin, TX owned and operated by women, members of the LGBTQ+ community, and people of color with the goal to increase diversity in roots music.
