MAELSTROM is a group of three young fiddlers from the DC metro area. Although our roots are in Celtic music, we are inspired by the huge variety of folk traditions and are excited by playful fusions. We play everything from French Canadian tunes to Klezmer. Our sound is recognized for its tight and creative harmonies.
