Lucy Starr is a British indie singer-songwriter. She was born in East Riding of Yorkshire and now resides in Liverpool, the city of music! She performs at many acclaimed music venues across the UK and is a regular busker in many northern cities. She has performed for Sofar Sounds and her music has been played globally including BBC Radio (UK), iHeart Radio (North America), ABC Radio (Australia) and Action Radio (Greece). Lucy released her deput EP ‘Bittersweet’ in 2018 and physical copies can be purchased in hmv Liverpool. All 5 of the tracks have received radio play, with particular praise for ‘Shame’, the lead single, and ‘Hindsight’ from BBC Music Introducing. In 2023, Lucy starred as a contestant on ITVBe’s Dinner Date and performed her original song ‘Shame’. In Feb 2024, Lucy released ‘Pull The Rug’, an empowering indie rock/ alternative anthem about being blindsided in a romantic relationship. This received significant global radio play and earned the #1 spot on the aBreak58 charts, music’s leading international platform for indie artists. This caught the attention of hundreds of media outlets including BBC Merseyside and Liverpool ECHO.
