Louise, Lately came into being as an indie-folk project, the creative brainchild of singer/songwriter Abigail Feldman. Exploding into the underground scene of Des Moines, Louise, Lately has been steadily establishing herself amongst the ranks of up and coming indie songwriters. From Des Moines, to Nashville, to Denver; Louise, Lately has toured across the US and abroad, leaving a profound impression on audiences wherever she goes. Captivated by the narrative traditions of Folk and Americana, her sincere, intimate lyricism has always orbited around stories, and the way they interweave with her own experiences of uncertainty, wonder, and identity.
In November of 2018, Louise, Lately released her debut EP, Young God, a collection of original songs, written, produced, and arranged by Louise, Lately, and recorded by the acclaimed act, the Well Pennies at Golden Bear Studios. Louise, Lately draws inspiration from the Folk and Americana artists who came before her, from Joni Mitchell and Emmylou Harris, to Bob Dylan and Nina Simone. Louise, Lately has taken her Sunburst Taylor guitar, stories, and spark to all parts of the world, from the smoky, dimly lit crowds of Nashville’s Bluebird Café, to colorful street-sides of Galway, Ireland. Heartfelt, emotive, raw – Louise, Lately pours her passion and truth into her performances; sometimes taking crowds to soaring, joyous highs, or to plummeting, gritty lows. Louise, Lately’s music is an experience and an expression of life, which is, after all, what she’d like for it to be
